An important feature of this on-line song library will be the ability to efficiently search for and find a song by Bible verse. The library will be a database of scripture-specific songs in MP3 or similar digital format and will provide access to sheet music and lead sheets wherever possible. Search for a song by Bible verse, listen to clips of those you find, and download the ones you like. Organization and ease of use of the song library as well as breadth of both scripture song entries and artists will be noteworthy features of the song library.

An equally important feature of the library will be the authentication component which will verify the extent to which a song is true to the scripture reference it cites. The inclusion of a field to indicate scriptural accuracy will be a feature unique to this scripture song library. The idea is for the visitor to know how scriptural the song is without having to read the text while listening to the song. If a song sites Revelation 3:15 as its source, the lyrics of the song will be compared to the text of Revelation 3:15. A rating of accuracy will be assigned to each song, giving the visitor evidence to the song's scriptural content and exactness. Some song lyrics match scripture word-for-word while others may transpose a word or phrase while maintaining the meaning of the text. The authenticity rating is intended to offer the visitor a tool to help select a scripture song that suits his/her needs.

Once a song has been found and evaluated by the visitor, acquisition will be quick and easy. Any song could be downloaded in MP3 or similar format to the visitor’s personal computer either free or for $1. Sheet music and lead sheets will be similarly priced.
